On the 9th of September 2018 

Big Pink Dress had been going exactly 4 years to the day 

so this years dress design was all about the Great North Run .

this year was also incredibly special as i was to be given the Point of Light award from 10 Downing street 

by the founder of the GNR Brendan Foster on the Start line of the race

from the moment i stepped out the house at 6.45am i was taking selfies with people

South Shields changed forever 

We as a town lost two amazing young children in the atrocities at the Manchester Arena .

Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry will forever be remembered by the entire community

 The two Families started a trust in their memory ,to help children in the Northeast have a chance to fulfil their dreams in theatre or sport .

This year was my second year at Pride .

I love the whole event as it makes the world that much brighter .

ive always been of the opinion live and let live ,I could not care less what sexual persuasion someone is .

Great North Run weekend has always meant alot to Big Pink Dress Fundraising but this year's was especially important.

September - The month of my favourite race 

The Great North Run. 

13.1 miles of incredible support from the Northeast crowds and as usual my fundraising was for Breast Cancer Now. 

It all starts with off  on the Saturday with the Mini and Junior runs plus the City Games. Last year I was fortunate enough to be asked to be the offical starter of the Mini Great North run along with local Oympian Aly Dixon and Lil Pink Dress Ruby.
